Satoshi Hiwatari is the police commander in charge of capturing Dark. Extremely intelligent, Satoshi graduated from high school at the age of eight, and obtained a college degree at the age of 13. He enrolled in Daisuke's middle school in order to be closer to Daisuke, whom he knew was Dark's alter ego. Calm and composed, he rarely shows his emotions causing others to find him distant and cold. Daisuke seems unaffected by his distant nature, and insists on becoming his friend. Reluctant at first, Satoshi comes to accept Daisuke's friendship, though later withdraws from school to try to distance himself from Daisuke again out of fear. He later returns to offer to aid rescuing Risa from Argentine. Series fans often suggest that Satoshi has deeper feelings for Daisuke than that of friendship, though Satoshi himself has never stated such a thing. Krad, however, does state the same during the series while taunting Satoshi.

Satoshi is the last heir of the Hikari family, which created powerful artworks that the Niwa family has been stealing for years via Dark. However, unlike most of his line, he is unable to create art of his own, though he can mimic any piece if he sees it once, while Daisuke can create original art, flipping their normal family legacies. After his mother's death, Satoshi was adopted by the Hiwatari family. His adoptive father appears to be aware of the Hikari and in the anime adaptation attempts to use it for his own purposes, eventually getting killed by one of the artworks he tries to harness the power of.

Much as Daisuke houses the soul of Dark Mousy, Satoshi holds that of his opposite, Krad. Unlike Dark, Krad is homicidal and cares nothing for Satoshi, causing Satoshi to regularly fight to keep him inside. It is suggested that Satoshi wears glasses as a way of helping him keep Krad in check, as he notes that he does not actually needs them and when he once removes them, he almost immediately feels Krad trying to emerge.

Dark Mousy is an entity of unknown origin who has appeared in the first male of the Niwa generation for the last 300 years. Once Dark appears, his host will change into Dark whenever he is around the person he loves or thinks about them a great deal. At the start of D.N.Angel, Dark had lain dormant for 40 years as his previous host, Daiki Niwa only had one female offspring. When her son, Daisuke, reached 14, he became Dark's new "tamer" or host. Known to the public as "Phantom Thief Dark", Dark steals the cursed art pieces made by the Hikari family, which the Niwa family then seals away to prevent them from causing anymore trouble. He primarily uses Wiz as his wings, as using his own true wings causes Daisuke's body tremendous harm. Though he and Daisuke often argue over missions and Risa and Riku Harada, its apparent that Dark cares for his host, taking care not to harm him by using too much of his magic and protecting him when possible.

Candid and confident, Dark can also appear to be arrogant and something of a playboy, flirting shamelessly with girls. After Dark's reappearance, Daisuke's crush, Risa Harada, falls in love with him and begins to pursue him. He initially flirts with her, seemingly to annoy Daisuke, and goes on several dates with her. However, as the series progresses, Dark seems to develop feelings for Risa, particularly after she sincerely answers him when he asks what she would do if he were a monster. Daisuke later remarks that Dark is falling in love with Risa. When she is taken by Argentine, Dark is furious and vows to show no mercy.

In the anime adaptation, Dark rejects Risa's feelings after telling her that he was once in love with her grandmother and only humored Risa's attraction because she reminded him of his lost love. He is voiced by Ryotaro Okiayu. In English dub, he is voiced by Vic Mignogna.

A former Soviet field medic. He was one of the best field surgeons. until an enemy mortar attack changed everything. Both destroying his left eye but leaving him dis-illusioned and scarred. As well as a heavy drinker. Constantly holding toasts to his dead comrades. It is unknown how he became the Dr. It is theorized that the chemicals from the blast altered his psychi. giving him a second half. Demonic posession is a possibility in the Dr.'s existance. however little is known of him. Not even his real name....
After the event he left the medic program and became a welder. He was a skilled soldier. trained by years of being a gunner in Hind helicopters in the Soviet Afghanistan conflict. And with the power given by the Doctor he was nearly unstoppable. He shows certain traits when the Dr. takes over. His left eye becomes pure crimson and bleeds. His hair raises into a slicked spike. He develops an electric aura and is capable of electrocute those in his vacinity. And his demeanor changes into a more calm and arrogant self. His speed dramatically increases and his strength grows as well.
His weapon of choice is a scalpel which he can throw like a dagger. He is deadly addicted to morphine but only when the Dr. takes over.
Growing tired of the Totalitarian rule of the Soviet Empire he let the doctor out. And became an assassin with one mission. Take out the communist leaders out. His mission was mildly successful. Afterwards he defected to Japan. His reasons are unknown. He took up residence in Nagasaki and worked as an engineer.
Overtime Anton and Dr.'s personalities began to merge and they became one. That is when he became an assassin again....
He is the head of the russian mafia in japan.
But his cover is a substitute teacher.
His motives for doing so are an unknown.
But he is qualified to do such.

Faith grew up pretty much a theif most of her life. She goes by the Name Death angel since most people never seem to see her face only the gleaming yellow eye's. Having two black wing's come from her back when she need to be the Theif she usally never really go close to anyone. Being forced into school she usally hated how most thought of her as an outcast. Her mother teaching her everything she know's she pretty much beat's Dark Mouse at all the art's he goes after.

Bio
Krad is a entity similar to Dark, living inside his "tamer" Satoshi Hiwatari. He is Dark's opposite in many ways, including having blond hair, wearing white attire, and always speaking very politely using an extremely formal speech pattern. Krad is Dark's, and by extension, Daisuke's worst enemy, repeatedly attempting to kill them both. Though Krad refers to Hiwatari as Master Satoshi and as "his everything", he shows little regard for Hiwatari's wishes nor well-being. He ignores Hiwatari's repeated attempts to get him to leave Daisuke alone and regularly uses his magic without limit, causing Hiwatari to collapse in agony. Like Daisuke, Hiwatari has little control over his transformation though he can force Krad to go back inside his body at times. In the anime adaptation, he is voiced by Takeshi Kusao. In the English dub, he is voiced by Illich Guardiola.
